Creative [Lost] Souls issue 1
An origin story.
Hey my most innermost peeps. I realise that some of you subscribed under different circumstances, that being my doomed "brand strategy for vegan businesses" project, Myth Strategy. As mentioned at the time, I COULDN’T GIVE THAT SHIT AWAY - quite literally, and this put me in something of a… slump. Not the worst one I’ve been in, but I basically quit all design and finally admitted that I needed a ‘day job’ (just a job - I am not capable of working both night and day).
Well out of this most recent … failure … (?) I’ve found a little inspiration, and am acting on an idea that has been brewing for some time - that is, to connect with and help other creatives who have surpassed their 20s without landing the right job, starting the right business, perhaps having tried multiple similar things, without really getting anywhere. You know… PEOPLE LIKE ME. Maybe they’re on the verge of giving up, maybe they’re looking for the right angle to try again. But in any case, both their stories and adult responsibilities and expectations are weighing on them, and there are new obstacles.
So this idea has grown into Creative Lost Souls. There’s a whole brand under construction and I plan to drown you in content and ideas. But for now, check out my new about page, (I think i’ve finally managed to describe myself to strangers more or less accurately) a recent post on design polish not necessarily being the trust signal it once was, and for that matter my slick new brutalist web aesthetic.
And if you really, really love me, upgrade your subscription. There should be a button below? I’m not sure what you’ll get, but it will defiantly help get me moving on this new adventure.
